However, this isn’t the only benefit of orthodontic treatments. Straight teeth can have functional benefits for your smile as well as overall health benefits. Straight teeth remove any hard-to-reach places, making brushing and flossing easier and reducing the risk of forming decay or further damage. There will also be a reduced amount of uneven wearing down which can create cracks or chips in weakened teeth.

While this is still the best time to identify and treat these issues, we now treat people of all ages and find that adult orthodontics is rapidly growing in popularity. Many adults have always wanted straight teeth but feel that they “missed out” when they were younger. The good news is it’s never too late for straight and beautiful teeth.

There is a range of different orthodontic treatment options available for patients wanting to straighten their smiles. At Atrius Dental Studio, we offer traditional braces and more discreet options including Invisalign® and SureSmile® treatment. The Invisalign® and SureSmile® systems use clear aligners that fit over your teeth like a mouth guard or whitening tray and apply gentle pressure until your teeth have moved into the desired position. The cost of treatment will vary depending on the severity of the case, so it’s best to book in for a consultation to get a quote for your unique needs.

What are Invisalign® and SureSmile® treatment?

Invisalign® and SureSmile® treatment is a series of clear aligners which fit snugly over your teeth in a similar way to a mouth guard or teeth whitening trays. These aligners apply gentle pressure to subtly move your teeth into place. Patients change to a new set of aligners every one to two weeks to continue the movement. Patients are advised to wear the aligners 20-22 hours per day to ensure the straightening process works properly. Treatment times can vary from about six months, up to about 24 months, depending on your circumstances.

What are the benefits Invisalign® and SureSmile® treatment?

There are a number of reasons why patients may consider using Invisalign® or SureSmile® clear aligners. However, the most common reasons talked about by our patients are comfort, the removable nature, and of course, the discreet look.
 
Comfort
The plastic aligners are created from moulds of your teeth so they fit comfortably over your smile. They are made of smooth, clear plastic so there is no uncomfortable rubbing, which can occur from the metal in traditional braces.
 
Discreet Look
As the aligners are made of a clear plastic, they are virtually invisible when worn. This means many people will never even notice you are undergoing an orthodontic procedure and allows you to go about your everyday life without any concern for the appearance of your teeth.
 
Removable
Invisalign® and SureSmile® clear aligners are not fixed to your teeth.  As such, they can be removed for cleaning, making them more hygienic, and easy to maintain. You are also able to remove the aligners for a special occasion if you feel more comfortable without them. Just be sure to pop them back in as soon as you’re done!

How Much Does SureSmile® Treatment Cost?

At Atrius Dental Studio we don’t believe in a one-treatment-plan-fits-all approach. We know that no one smile is the same as another, and each of our patients require different levels of care. That’s why your individual concerns and desires will be met in your specifically designed treatment plan. Because of the individual nature of a SureSmile® treatment plan, prices will vary depending on severity and circumstance. Once we’ve assessed your situation and identified if you’re a suitable candidate for SureSmile® products, we’ll be able to give you an exact cost for the treatment. In the meantime, you can find our ballpark SureSmile® treatment prices below:
 
SureSmile® Lite
Cost: $4200
This option addresses mild orthodontic issues of all teeth with up to 12 aligners in approximately 6 months. This includes mild crowding, spacing and orthodontic relapse. This option is not suitable for all cases and works best when no major movements are required.
 
SureSmile® Moderate
Cost: $5100
This is the most common option we use as an orthodontic treatment at Atrius Dental Studio. It can correct a wide range of orthodontic issues including moderate crowding, misaligned teeth, and bite issues. This options allows up to 24 aligners, approximately 12 months of treatment.
 
SureSmile® Complex
Cost: $6000 - $6900
This option is used for complicated cases that will extend over 24 aligners or longer than 12 months. This includes difficult and large movements and situations where extractions may be required. Treatment may extend up to 18 to 24 months using up to 36 or 48 aligners, respectively.
